Hi I have a question.. When I preview my DVD menu my background video doesn't play but show it's first frame. Although when I didn't add text or buttons to the menu, it just plays the video. Do you know how what I should do to make it work? By the way I have made my menu exactly the same way like your tutorial.

Have you rendered it. (ie select file , render, render motion menus). If you create animated menu buttons you also need to click the animate buttons field , which is in the motion tab of the menu properties panel (and again render the motion menus) HOpe this helps G

i can set encore marks and stuff, but when i go to export, out of the three in the group, it will only let me export to EDL. any suggestions?
Posted Sep 21 2008 9:01PM by TeaBiscuits2
Are you using Premier CS3 3.2.0. Some of the trial versions had some of the options grayed out including Export to Encore. Are all of the DVD (m2v) codecs installed (they should be if you did a full install of Premier CS3). You might need to do a full install of the unrestricted version of Premier Pro CS3.

I am Trying to make a dvd of season 2 of the Sarah Connor Chronicles I downloaded all epiosdes up to this point but when I go to Import a episode to encore it says the file is currupted or it does not support it. is it because the file is in Xvid and avi format what format do I need to change it to for it to work.
Posted Oct 17 2008 5:36PM by Mastersun88
Hi, Encore does not support Xvid or DivX files (even though they are contained in an AVI shell). You need to convert them to Windows AVI, or H.264 or MPEG-2 or Quicktime MOV or Windows media WMV. There are lots of conversion programs around that will help you do this. G

Hi nice tutorial really clear and easy to understand! I'm using encore 1.5 but have a problem...I've changed the aspect ratio to 16:9 in the edit preferences but it won't let me import my 16:9 widescreen footage....says it can't be imported into this project....any insight would be gladly appreciated :)

Sorry but I Havnt used Encore 1.5. Are you rendering the files to the DVD mpeg2 format before you import them or trying to import DV files.Wide screen minidv is basically the same as standard (still 720 x 480) but uses non square pixels (wider to fill out the screen). Encore should be able to sort this out for you but dont understand why you cant import the file.

1:38. Because of the cock structure of mpeg2? Great tute though, very handy and well explained etc. Much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your explanation of Adobe Encore. It was very clear and concise. This is the first time that I could understand the process of authoring a DVD in Encore.

How do you make a meau with motion?
Posted Jul 4 2009 1:19PM by JDKandHMW
yuck, you have a 1024x768 screen resolution. I used to have one of those, but now I have 1680x1050. 1024x768 is soooo squished!
Posted Jul 8 2009 6:52PM by sonicballer8888
What if we did not use Adobe Premiere? How do we just go straight to Encore?

Posted Aug 31 2009 2:24PM by MyWebPresenters
wtf are u talking about?
Posted Aug 31 2009 2:25PM by MyWebPresenters
I am talking about his screen resolution for his computer monitor. RESOLUTION is the amount of pixels on screen. If you don't know what resolution is, then this video is WAAAY too advanced for you. Stick with windows movie maker, or better yet, mud pies are good for your level.

Posted Nov 30 2009 6:51AM by SuperiorRobot
here's a question, what if your menu library is blank? Not even the preview window is showing. I click the buttions and nothing..
Posted Dec 24 2009 7:21PM by demboys18
I have that very same issue as well, if someone could please provide us with a solution, it would be VERY appreciated :)
Posted Jan 13 2010 7:33AM by FargoJ02
ya think it might have somethign to do with video cards? I know that some editing programs will automatically turn off their preview screens to prevent crashes on slow graphics cards. I wonder if this is something like that. But that still doesn't explain the missing templates....
